Hello and Welcome to Occidental College’s Greek Life Homepage. I am a junior here at Occidental College and am I honored to serve as the 2009-10 Greek Council President. I became a member Alpha Lambda Phi Alpha my freshman year and have never looked back. Unlike other campuses, the face of the Greek Community is diverse, comprised of students who are active members in other areas of campus life. Greeks are involved in organizations such as: student government, dance production, various sports teams, O-Team, to name a few. Greek Life is an exceptional way to become more involved on campus, build lasting relationships, give back to your community and build leadership skills. I hope that this year the Greek Community will continue to improve internally but also strive to improve the Occidental community at large.

The Greek Council at Occidental is an organization composed of representatives from each of the Greek houses that are recognized by the College. As the governing body of the Occidental Greek Community, Greek Council allows for all of the Greek houses to coordinate events, service projects and acts as a forum for Greeks to discuss issues facing the Greek community. Furthermore, Greek Council seeks to not only improve inter-Greek relations but also improve Occidental’s campus life.
